Welding Supply marks its 35th anniversary in 2010, as it celebrates a
rich history that began in 1975 as a small start-up begun by Founder,
Mickey Wilton. Today, Central Welding Supply has grown to nineteen
locations, four divisions, two operating companies, and over 170
dedicated and experienced employees.
In
2003, Central Welding launched its first Bulk and Specialty Gases
Division, XpressCryogenics. It quickly expanded into gas supply systems
for supply of bulk welding shielding gases, beverage gases, food
packaging, laboratories, and many other customer-specific applications.

Central Welding Supply Employs Innovation to Expand Cylinder Maintenance Capabilities
Dale Wilton, President/CEO of Central Welding Supply, announces the acquisition of innovative technologies to establish a comprehensive range of capabilities for the company’s new Smokey Point, WA cylinder maintenance facility. Additions include the Digital Wave UE1™ DOT cylinder inspection system, and a Viking GC-111 Blast and Wash System. “The new systems will round out functionality in our cylinder maintenance operation, providing us with the capabilities to paint, re-valve, and re-test all cylinder sizes.” Central Welding News Release Digital Wave News Release
